Living every day like it is my last day

Author: Benjamin F. Schenck

Living every day like it is my last day does not mean living without fear, doing all the things I always meant to, or making everything right with my family and everyone else I ever knew. Although the idea does include these things It contains a deeper meaning which when realized can give a person a freedom that most people never come to understand. This deeper meaning when realized gives me a powerful sense presense in which niether the future nor the past have hold over me. The future no longer has hold on me becuase if this is my last day then there is no other thing I could possibly do. There is no achievement. There are no bills left to pay. No dooms await me. There is nothing left for me to worry over or fear. The past is everything its going to be. I can only be content that I have done everything I am going to do and that it has been enough. To be at peace, present in this last moment, when neither future nor past have meaning left, that is living like every day is the last.
